What To Do Keep In Mind When Selling Inspirational T Shirts

By Betty Evans

The concept of an inspirational t-shirt can go beyond its namesake. However, not all t-shirts worn need to start a revolution. Inspirational t shirts that are witty and thought-provoking are sometimes all that s needed to help change the outlook of a person s day and in some cases, their money.

Although it might not seem like it but spending money at the local retailer of tees down the road does more for your country of residence than hoping the things bought online are late so that they can be free. How? Well, spending money on local retailers will boost up the local economy, creating a snowball effect that will eventually, make the currency stronger, making things cheaper.

Granted the items in your stock are inspirational but if they do not translate into sales than it s time to do some digging. Do some research and ask for feedback. Not all of it is going to be good so develop a thick skin so not to bite and chew off the heads of potential customers. Make notes of any complaints and or suggestions. Be it new colours to introduce, fonts or even quotes. There s a lot that goes into making a tee other than setting the right price.

With business cards distributed, social media presence intact, website clicks and an app on the way, other than a really cool graphics department, you re well on your way to becoming the best there ever was when it comes to tee. Have you considered influencers or brand representatives, if not, you should probably give it some thought?

The customer service you get at your local place of business is more often than not, much better and much more genuine than a franchise or corporation doing business. What usually happens is that the small business owners are able to hire product staff that is more suited to the kind of products they are selling and therefore, albeit, on a small scale, local retailers are more specialized to do what they do compare to other retailers.

Be aware that selling the first 10 tees, regardless of what quote they may have is just as hard as going from 10 to a 100 and so on and so forth. Selling shouldn t be taken lightly, regardless of what it is. And it s made even harder when selling t-shirts that compete with every other item of fashion that goes around the head.

There will be times when you find it hard to continue, be it due to poor sales, harsh criticism or things are moving slowly. But these are the times that make or break you as a business person and the best advice is to take a shirt off your shelf and use it to keep motivated.

Supporting your local retailer is a good way of strengthening your community it is something that should be preferred instead of buying from the great distribution, and if it means buying a tee in the process than, why not?
