Festival Fashion The Right Wardrobe For A Music Festival

By David Burns

Summer months bring with them a lot of music festivals, which are usually the best alternative for someone who may not find the time or finance to take a vacation out of the country. The music experience will always deliver a chance for a memorable time; but small issues, such as wearing the wrong wardrobe, can often prove a spoiler on an enjoyable event. A little prior planning should ensure that everything runs as expected, including your festival fashion.

Your dressing will most definitely be different when you consider where you are traveling for the summer weekend for the party or music. You can check with the meteorological department to know what climatic conditions you can expect at that time of the year. You should also put in mind what kind of festival it is you're going to and what the general dress pattern is going to be like.

Lots of people are open to making new friends at festivals. The atmosphere is happy, friendly and full of music-lovers looking to connect and, with an eye-catching T-shirt on, you could find yourself getting approached by plenty of new pals.

Both denim shorts and skirts look great with a pair of trendy wellies, and there are many different styles of wellies to choose from, all of which will protect your feet from the rain and mud. This, if you ask any hardened festival frequenter, is essential.

This could lead on to other topics and the discovery that you have something more than just a mutual like/dislike for something. Perhaps you're going to see the same bands and are sleeping in the same campsites, meaning you could arrange to meet later to get to know one another better.

Wearing a hat can help protect you from wet projectiles in the crowd and can also shield you from the elements; whether it's rain or the sun beating down on you, standing outside all day can leave you open to attack. If hot weather is predicted, it's always best to also wear suntan lotion and sunglasses. Sporting sunburn is not only uncomfortable; it can also dangerous to your health.

If it is sunny, a simple T-shirt and a pair of briefs should be okay; but at colder or showery times, wearing more clothing is important. A light, jacket is good but if you forget one then most campsites may be selling ponchos. Combat trousers have many pockets, which is handy for storing your festival essentials while taking a sweater to put on at night makes the area a bit more reasonable.

On top remember that at night it will be cold, therefore bring jumpers and a warm sleeping bag. But don't forget to support your bands and wear band t-shirt when possible. Try considering the famous mens leather jackets that can provide extra warmth when the gigs last long into the night whilst still looking great.
