Beware Of Wearing Monogram Necklace Pendants

By Stella Gay

It is a dangerous world full of scoundrels who often prey upon the naive, the young, or the most unsuspecting people within our society. Often we forget just how treacherous people can be, and we reveal hidden aspects of ourselves which can be used against us. Believe it or not, the wearing of monogram necklace pendants is just such a habit that can expose us to these perilous individuals.

Such a pendant will generally reveal the initials of an person, and it is not a stretch for someone to figure out a name from that small bit of information. Adding to the problem is the fact that women are the primary ones you would expect to see wearing such jewelry. Even more chilling are the numbers of little girls who are often seen adorned in such a way.

It gets even worse if the jewelry bears their first or last full name. This can be a real problem in places such as a ball park, which are areas where many sex offenders watch for opportunities to get close to children or teens. The more unique the name, the easier it is to match the person to their jewelry.

Picture a third grader on a field trip wearing a bright gold or silver piece. A pedophile is watching, and hears a teacher call out a child by her first and last name. Carefully this social predator hones in on necklaces worn by all the children, identifies the correct individual, and lures her out of the group by calling her by name and claiming someone in her family is hurt.

The younger the child, the easier it is to get someone to give them a name to go along with their necklace. Exchanging names is a mind trick designed to disarm the person emotionally and make it easier for you to get information out of them. When one creates a rapport with another, even if it is for only a moment, then they are instantly vulnerable to what the other person intends for them.

Adults become more relaxed in the presence of a stranger once names are being used as well. This is true for most anyone, and an attacker is able to take one quite by surprise. Most people are not assuming that another human being intends harm to them because they themselves do not harm others.

Monogrammed necklaces have been all the rage for about a decade, and the bigger and flashier the better. For this reason, even some young men are likely to wear such a thing, and it can be easily spotted from a distance. Boys and men can be victims as a result of exposed personal information just the same as women and girls.

Such a pendant might also reveal things such as what church or school a person attends, and what organizations they are a part of. A vast majority of kidnap victims are found to have been under observation by their attacker for a period of time. Predators can use even the most random bit of information in order to gain access to the more vulnerable individuals within society.
